Only new car I ever bought.... mine was a 1980 turbo... TRX suspension, with the Recaro interior.... After the first 12k miles... it got Koni shocks, 220/55/390, instead of the 190/65/390, and a Racer Walsh adjustable boost kit
I always liked the Fox Capris better than he Mustangs, but I never liked that bubble back hatch that they went to in 1983.

only lasted about 80k miles till a fire consumed it...
I've only known two of those in my life, both hardtops w/factory sun roofs. BOTH had the rubber rain gutter return line that goes down the A pillar came off the nipple on the gutter. Water ran down the A pillar to the point where it was crunchy to the touch.
Not throwing water, just advice.
Remember the ASC McLaren versions? I snagged a pair of tan leather seats out of one and fitted them to an MGB.

This is one cool Capri. I got to see it up close while at a Trans Am race at Road America back in the mid 80's. That's when Tom Gloy was running a team of Mercury Capri sponsored cars in the series. They won the season championship I think it was in '84.
