Due to being unemployed for the last 2 years due to a medical condition, it's time to sell my car. I've stored this car for a long time now hoping I would get better and have the income to complete a restoration. That doesn't seem likely right now, so I've got to let it go.
This is a 1976 Honda Accord. It's a 1.6 cvcc with a 5spd. VIN# Se-j1006991 According to this article: http://www.motortrend.com/auto_news/112_news63/
That man's accord was thought to be the oldest still in existence. If you compare VIN numbers, mine is over 1000 cars older than his. My car also has 70,000 original miles.
This is a PROJECT. I am the 2nd owner.
This car started and ran on starting fluid when I bought it. It had very old bad gas in it, and it wouldn't run off of that. The previous owner stated that it had a compression issue in one cylinder and would foul that plug out. I pulled the valve cover, then the head, and discovered a chunk missing out of one of the exhaust valves. The piece apparently blew out of the cylinder, because the cylinder wall is not scratched and the piston is not marked up.
Currently, the head and carb are off the engine, as well as the full exhaust. It needs 1 exhaust valve replaced, but I intended to have the head fully serviced. I would recommend you do the same. All 4 bias ply tires are severly dry rotted, but they all hold air. The interior is incredibly dry rotted, and will need to be replaced.
Rust is fairly minimal considering it's age. The inside bottoms of both doors need repair, the bottom of the passenger front fender is rusted off, and the bottom of the rear hatch is soft. I've had it looked at by a couple different body guys and have been told the issues are all very repairable without too much issue.
Car has either been covered or indoors since I bought it.
This will be a great little gem for someone to do something awesome with. I just wish I could afford for that to be me.
This car spent the majority of it's life either sitting on a military base in the south, or being towed behind a motorhome. The previous owner was a military person and this was the vehicle they used to get around base. The last time it was inspected was 1989!

I am asking $1800 obo, and I will work with you some on price. I believe the price reflects the condition, rarity, and age of my vehicle.
