Well I'd planned on holding onto this thing and eventually finding something to put it into, but quite honestly the chances of that happening anytime within the next several years is nil, and it's kind of in the way. Here's the details:
Zetec long-block from a '00 Ford Focus with 160,000 miles on it. I pulled it from a running/driving(wrecked) car, and checked the compression before I pulled it. It's been cleaned and painted with POR-15 black engine paint. Paid $250.00
I have all the stock parts that came from it, including ancillaries like the alternator, starter, intake & exhaust, etc.
Brand-new ported/polished head, with oversized valves and titanium springs. Paid $275.00
Brand-new ARP studs for the head. Paid $118.00
Brand-new set of aftermarket cams. I'll have to check the part number from the boxes, but I researched these and got input from others here before ordering them. They're a nice mid-tier cam, not too extreme for the street or too high strung, but should provide a nice bump in both HP and torque with the other mods.
EDIT: Here's the specs on the cams - 272/228/.381 Paid $318.00
Adjustable cam gears. Paid $75.00
Full gasket kit. Paid $54.00
Brand new timing belt kit. Paid $76.00
Weber intake manifold. Paid $177.00
GSXR ITBs and velocity stacks. Paid $250.00
Megasquirt setup from a running Zetec. Paid $238.00
"Rams-horn" header with a turbo-style flange. $150.00
BRG aluminum valve cover with polished aluminum oil cap. Paid $185.00
Here are some pics, I'll dig out the boxes and get some details, I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting some bits...
I have over $2000 into all this, but I know it's not worth that much unassembled, so I'll offer it for a blow-out price of $1300. I'm located in east-central IL and could possibly deliver it within a reasonable distance(Chicago/StL/Indy/???).
