Damn you and your posting local cars to me. I've just been saying recently that I've never owned a french car and need to rectify that.

I think the R15 would still score higher due to age and overall decrepitness

Actually, that looks like a blue Peugeot wagon in the background.
Thank goodness I don't live closer to Philadelphia. IF I was ever going to buy a French car, 1 of my first choices would be a 15...and in that color, too. But I also know the really bad parts situation that comes with owning a French car, so no temptation to try to get my brother in Lansdown to even go look at this.
sigh emailed seller, about 30 minutes from my house. I'll try to look at it this week and pray someone buys it before I get there.
Dangit Dan, you just had to post this didn't you.
Saw it today, turns out the seller is an old acquaintance of mine.
It was hard to focus on the R15 while playing around in his warehouse, pugeots, citroens, old volvos, fiats, VWs and even a Yugo.
Negotiations are underway but I think this one is coming home soon.
He also had an R17 that was an ex race car, completely caged. He's keeping the drivetrain for his Renault station wagon (DROOOL) but I think we're working a package deal and the 17 will go to speedycop of Lemons fame for some weirdness. If he decides to pass then I may have to talk the Misfits into building it up for Lemons ourselves. The R15 is too nice for such a fate and will probably get a driveable restoration.
What kind of citroens does he have? I want to buy an SM in a couple years, most of them are pretty cool though.

None for sale but DS19 style, there was something special about the one he had but I got lost in the details.
He's also renting the back half of the place to a guy that does scooter restorations, I almost went into Vespa overload.
Is it in pretty good shape overall? Looks really cool. Grab it...I'm glad my garage bays are full right now, I was very tempted to ask about it myself and have some fun.

From the doors back its perfect but theres rot in the floors, rockers and front fenders. 2 good fenders come with the car but some structural repair is going to be needed in the a-pillars and inner fenders. Starts up well, runs good but not idling properly at the moment. Needs the whole brake system redone.
Decent car, but a project. Looks like we can't quite come together on the price so it may not be meant to be.
