Nope-Because the whole thing is a Miata.
I'm guessing Volvo guy is trying to suggest someone could try to do the same thing with his Volvo. Anyone have more info on the Miata?

lol
I guess if someone needed rear seats/other weird parts from the back half of the car they would be golden on this one. lol
and sadly no info on said miata=/
I had ideas to do this for a while. Seriously, no joke. I figured get a full roll bar kit and mount it in the car. Then remove all the body work, doors, interior, etc....
You end up with that.
Loving it
I think that's a good starting chassis to hang a kit car shell on. I'd love a shooting brake car based on that. FF, get to it!
could you do whats being done in the picture but without a full "roll cage." as those seem dangerous for street use it appears from my reading. Just have everythign but the "roof section of the cage and have a smaller roll bar like most miatas have (boss frog or hard dog) . Is that safer? is it enough structure to keep it rigid?
Have dash bars in place to provide rigidity from the winshield being lopped off.
Hmmmm.. this sounds too easy
I wouldn't want to drive that or any unibody with the roof lopped off... it's bad enough just on the street in some of the factory convertables i've driven...
that being said... without the body in place you could easily make the cage just as far away as the car bits would be... giving more margin for safety...
i'd stick to the full cage setup.
