I bet with that Isuzu motor it can finally crack 45 mph!

Mine will cruise at 65 with the original stock motor. But you were joking.

There have been a lot of different engines swapped into these over the years. The Isuzu running gear is interesting, I'm wondering what else was done under there. Pretty good deal for someone who wants a project.

Isuzu i4 could also mean diesel though it does not expressly say that and there is no sooty evidence near the rear.

Are you wondering if it'd be worth more in scrap?

The body is aluminium with a steel frame. Which is how people get in over their heads - they look good until you take the top off and open the doors, then the truck collapses in the middle

My brother has a Defender 90 with a V8 and the top speed is not the problem it seems getting it to stop in a hurry is though. It looks like that one could be a fun beater though. They make galvinized replacement frames for tham as well.

It's a transformer. When it looks like it's collapsing that just means it's turning into a rust bucket.

That is a really good deal, I think. Last time I looked at series Rovers they were tough to find for 3x that even with a rusty frame rail member or two.

Indeed. My Mini should be sold Tuesday but I don't have a way to pick it up.

I sent the link to a West Coast car guy/builder, his response was " that is stupid cheap..." I suggested that he find a Classic and cut to fit. L.A. would go nuts for a hybrid like that.

I like projects, and I like Series Rovers...but not the two together.
