You fine people wouldn't happen to know of any cars close to Tennessee would you? I know they're rare, but I'm hoping I can find a mechanically decent one to do some fun driving in as I upgrade it.(even if things like seats, paint, or AC or complete garbage)

A 323GTX for under $1000? I'm assuming you're looking for one that is made up of 17% metal and 83% rust flakes, and no engine.

Last time I saw one under a grand it was only some of one, and it definitely didn't run. I don't really think it qualified as a car at that point. Those things are RAAAAAARE and the list of NLA parts is high, so even crushers are trading at a premium as parts cars.

For $1k or less, you can either have:

A) Runs but is folded in half with rust
B) Rusty as hell but straight, doesn't run.

One of the worst cars you could buy for $1000.

GA is close to TN.

But my house is 5 hours from the state line. How close is close enough?

Not sure if I'd go quite that low...
