Hmmm... swap that engine into a 3 series for super win!
In any decent shape that's a $5,000 car, so at $1,500 it's pretty suspect. On the other hand, at $1,500 you could make your money back in a week by parting it out.
What's up with the steering wheel?

You could probably get 1/3d or more of that price back by hocking the wheels to the VW crowd.
They key factor going against me getting this car so far is the lack of title. I've left a message for the guy.

^ isn't the max purchase price of the car 500$? Or is lemons one of those ones that will let you sell down?
As an aside, I bet this is car# 2 that gets claimed by the 500$ rule, right after that S600 or whatever it was that Jay Lamm bought for the engine.

You can sell down to $500, and Jay really doesnt like to claim cars much. He did claim an engine once because it was terribly cheaty and of course he claimed the MB because the team asked him to. But this wouldnt be the first 7 series in Lemons so I dont think Jay would even bat an eye at it.

Looks like any other E38 steering wheel to me. If you're wondering why it's upside down, note that the wheels are turned in the first pic.
Between the wheels and interior pieces, you can easily get it down to $500 . . . or less
If any one of you get it . . .I'll buy the wheels from ya

There is some twisted honor in being the first car ever to be claimed by Jay. He had expressed interest and they nudged him down the path. The car was untitleable and useless for anything other than Lemons racing and wasn't much good at that either from what I gather.
