Thank you EvanB. You are right, but it still might bring home a trophy. "Most Spectacular Failure"
"Hmmm...does a fiberglass Bugeye nose drop right on to a Midget?"
Sure do ! !
Midget/Sprite expert right down in Rhode Island has a fiberglass Bugeye nose for sale right now, he's also got a choice of sweet alloy wheels and a building or three full of other parts.
If I didn't have an MGA and an A35 already cluttering my mind I'd be all over a Midget with a nice Bugeye back-date.
Of course if you're considering a competition Sprite, you gotta skip the road racing and go in a nice straight 1/4 mile line.
When I had my Bugeye Sprite I saw another Bugeye with a rotary in it at a local cruise-in. I watched and waited to talk with the guy but he never showed up so I wandered off. He may have been hanging near my car! As I left he passed in front of me at an intersection and I raced after him with all the power in my 948 cc powerhouse...never had a chance of catching him!
