I did the rust repair and paint on this one for my buddy. It has mildly flared rear fenders, but needs mechanical work and reassembly.
he also has a complete Buick 215 that has been mildly modded available for the car.

Damn... wish I had room/time for that. Looks like a good deal. But I passed it along to someone who may be interested.
In reply to Chris_V:
Would this be a good candidate for a vintage race car? Does it have the original drivetrain? The link you posted is just of the pic, not the ad. Is there more information available?

Sorry, bout that. Yeah, it's the original engine and trans in there.
If this was in the surrounding areas (like 4 hours) I would have made an appointment and taken tomorrow off work.

It needs reassembly, mostly interior work, though it hasn't been driven in about 10 years. it was in his garage for a number of years, then in mine while I did the rust repair and repaint. It was just going to be a hot rod driver and he was going to put in the 215 aluminum V8.
When was the last time it was started and does it look like the green car of the one in primer and the racing front valence?
I'm surprised Paul Tegler hasn't snatched this up. If I had the room I would.
Chris, when you did the metal work, did it include mods for the V8 engine?

It's been about 10 years since it was started, and it's the green. The primer one was just before I put the green on it, and it has the flares and air dam painted.
The car is at his parents home in southern MD, not in downtown Baltimore, as they had the garage to keep it in after it got painted.
And no, I didn't do any mods to put the V8 in. It's still got the original engine in it. He was going to get the bits to put the V8 in, but a new family has been taking all his time.
More pics (all I have left)
Uppper Marlboro, and yeah, we sandblasted and cut out the rust and got a lot of new parts welded in the fenderwells. There was some previous minor stuff done in the engine compartment that we left, since he didn't want to take the engine out and was quickly running out of money. But both sides looked like that pic of the inner fender area. Rockers were already done as was the rear floor area. Not as pretty, but sufficient. I wish I had taken more pictures as he and I cut out and replaced parts.
markwemple wrote: Does he still have the buick 215 and how much would he want?
Not sure, I thought he said something about $800-1000 due to it being a built 4 bbl engine with all the bits (other than the MGB specific headers) that it's supposed to have for it. One of the guys from the British V8 board came over to look at it and said it was worth about a grand. Which fits as that's about what he paid for it originally.

He was who I sent this to - and said I was the third person to mention it to him. Not interested for some reason. Might be the flared body? I dunno. Seems like a good deal to me and I'm sure he could probably reassemble it in his sleep.
