EDIT EDIT: Think I'm coming to my senses. Financial hole not as bad as I thought. Gonna keep everything for now.
EDIT: Pictures now available at picture album. Also, added wheels, sport bracing, TSI's, intercooler, and manual window regulator swap. If you want pictures of anything else, let me know, I'm happy to oblige.
Also, I've decided to hang a number on it as a package deal if anyone wants it....for $3,200, take all my Miata-related stuff. Car. Torsen. Suspension. Wheels. All the goodies. I'm going to go go home and raid my stash at my parent's house tomorrow...there's quite a bit of random mechanical bits and bobs there too, from a couple of these I've parted out.
I'm happy to take better pictures of stuff if anyone wants it.
Unplanned self-employment and a big debt coming due at approximately the same time are no good. I need to clear out some projects and free up some capital. To that end, here's my Miata and collected Miata stuffs. Pictures to follow when I get home tonight. All prices are flexible-ish. Not really interested in trades, but hell, you can try. Everything located in Columbia, MO, smack dab between KC and STL on I-70.
First the car. It's a 1992, red, with ~100k on the odometer. I want $1,750 as it sits. I am the third owner, bought it in 2005 with 31k. It has been wrecked, fully repainted, and wrecked again. The paint is driver quality....it was fully repainted in 2011 with base/clear. A nice 10 footer, some orange peel, some dings. Crash damage on the right front (old man turned left in front of me). Nothing bent suspension-wise - I've put another 6k miles on it since the crash. The only non bolt-on piece it needs is a little straightening on the inner fender. It will come with:
1) Brand new fender 2) straight-ish red OEM hood, 3) functional red headlight mechanism and lid, 4) Replacement turn signal and side marker
I think the nose piece can be saved - I have the chunk that is missing and my bodyman friend told me it would be pretty easy to plastic weld it back on.
All in all, it needs a weekend worth of fettling and some paint to look good again. If I don't sell it in the next couple weeks, that's what I'll do.
The top is a non-zipper replacement with a glass rear window but it does have a few small holes in it.
Currently rolling on 94-97 OEM alloys with usable but not great tires. Mechanically, it needs a window regulator, a couple of wheel studs (threads are buggered up because of E36 M3ty eBay spline-drive lug nuts) and the radio sorted (I pulled my amp out after I stopped driving it, needs some wiring love). Has a nice pioneer CD player and Infinity reference components that should probably be replaced. A/C all there, still holding pressure, but blows warm (hasn't been converted from R12.
Car is mechanically stock except for 1.8 brakes with Hawk HPS pads and Valvoline silicone fluid, an ebay big-ass aluminum radiator, and a Hard Dog Sport roll bar. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere in the country.
Now the Goodies: I'm willing to ship everything but the Torsen setup. If you want to make me an offer on the whole enchilada with the car, I'd love for it all to go to one guy.
Complete 1.8 rear end with Type 2 Torsen- $600 This is a complete 4.10 open rear setup, spindle-to-spindle from a '97, still in one piece, AND a separate Type II Torsen LSD that you'd have to install in the rear end. Mileage on the rear end was ~140k, pulled from a running, driving car I parted out. Torsen is definitely a differential in a box, and that's all I know - but I've never heard of anyone breaking one.
Flyin' Miata Stage 2.5 suspension kit - $625
Bought used from CGLockRacer on this board. He claimed 13k street miles. I have never installed it, but it's all there and looks nice - Ground control coilovers, Tokico Illumina adjustable shocks, FM swaybars, and FM NB-style rear shock mounts. I don't think FM sells this particular setup anymore, but it was about an $1100-$1200 setup when new. I just want out of it what I have in it.
Kosei K1-TS 14x6" wheels with ooooold Nitto R-Compounds - $250 Bought these on here a couple years ago, never used them. The wheels look very nice and have 205/55 Nitto NT01 tires that look about half-worn, but IIRC they're date-coded 2008. These are supposedly a track-day compound, harder than an autocross compound. I was gong to use them on a Challenge car before the "free Kumhos" rule. They may be granite at this point, I don't know.
NA Power steering idler setup-$35 Convert from power steering to manual. Bought it here, can't remember who from. Bracket, idler pulley, and belt.
1.6 turbo manifold and downpipe.-$75 for both Turbo manifold is of mysterious origin, it's welded, with a flange for an external wastegate and (IIRC) a DSM turbo flange. (EDIT: Turbo manifold appears to be at my parent's house. Will have pics Wednesday night.) Downpipe is an ebay special, not pretty but seems usable.
New, unusued eBay universal intercooler-$50 21" core width, ~28" overall width, 2" inlet/outlet.
E-code headlights and 55/100 H4 bulbs-$50 - New in the package, never installed.
New A/C condenser-$75 - bought it after my last crash, turned out the old one still held pressure and my bodyman bent it back straight.
NB Sport Chassis Brace-$75 -this is the OEM chassis brace from the NB sport models. Think of it as a poor man's butterfly brace. Will require some drilling to install.
Power windows to manual windows swap - $50 Was going to do this when my window regulator quit, because I had all the stuff laying around. Have window regulators, cranks, door panels, and the center console block-off plate.
Homemade Turn signal Intakes - $25 These probably do nothing. Look cool, though.
May be adding more as I dig through the garage. Best way to contact me is my username on the board at that google-based electronic mail service.
