38 mpg? I wonder if its a diesel. 28 is more realistic for a gas one.

I couldn't ever get less than 35 with mine, 40mpg was more common. RV/5-speed combo. The trick is to suck it up and run 93 octane, the computer will adapt for it and the added fuel economy will more than make up for the added fuel expense.
Interesting, I have never heard of one getting close to that. Most of them run so badly now and aren't really repairable that it doesn't surprise me though.
