This car is a non running project car. Used to run great, but has been sitting for a couple years now. It needs at least a starter, a battery, and a deep tune. Motor still turns (not seized) and transmission is good. But this is just a rolling project car. Never wrecked. Frame is straight. No rust. Solid. Would make excellent restoration for anyone willing to put in the time. I have 1989 toyota mr2 mk1 with 179,000 on body and approximately 70,000 miles on new engine. The engine swap is a 4AGE red top (same as black top as near as I can tell) Japanese Corolla. Made to race. Is basically SCCA solo ready. It IS street legal but no catalytic converter so will not pass emissions in its present state. I live in Newton county where there are no emissions. From brakes to transmission to exhaust to engine, lots of racing components. 2010--New timing belt, cam seal, water pump, clutch master and slave cylinders, and water temp sensor. Work done at Pro Import by SCCA solo champ Adam Malley, so you know it is done right :-) I had this car for 3 years and drove nearly every weekend and most all spring and summer each year until it was parked because the starter died. I had a medical issue with lots of bills so the money for upkeep on mr2 went away. It has been my toy and I had hoped to race at some point but now it is not at the top of my priority list financially so I am letting it go. Body is in good shape. Could use paint and a *tiny* bit of bondo. Power windows work. Headlights raise and lower. Power door locks need help locking, but will unlock no problem. Remember this is a race car and is stripped a bit as such. There is no spare tire, no radio, no front or rear trunk liners, and no parking brake (I just leave gears engaged--never been a problem).
