Yup, those were the 20th anniversary Mustangs.
You could get four cylinder turbo Mustangs starting in 1979.
I remember when those things came out. I'm pretty sure that it was just white paint, red interior, a dash plaque, unique wheels (that may have been TRX sized) and the tape stripes. You could get the V8 or the turbo four. They really weren't all that special, but I always kind of liked them anyway.
The GT was only two years old at the time and I'm not sure that the V8 GT 350 was actually a GT underneath.
I don't think they're all that rare. I've seen a lot of them.
