You can probably expect to get near 30mpg combined. They don't do as well as the FWD variants, but they're still not bad by any stretch.
I've got a sedan version... GREAT car.... I'm getting a tick over 28 mpg @ speeds approaching 70mph... I might crack 30 if I kept it to 55-60.... but I'm running a somewhat tweaked 4AFE so your mileage may vary
My wife had a wagon (and if that was closer she might again), back when we lived in the Pocono's. Unfortunately her's succumbed to the harsh salt back east.
With 200k, the transmission may show signs of wear. To get all the lowdown there is a forum just for the All-Trac Corollas - http://www.alltracwagon.net/forum/
You know, I just can't get into these wagons. I know they are probably a ball full of awesome, but I had the regular Corolla wagon and I loved it, to death.
Literally.

Go to the all trac wagon forum and look about... some VERY hot (looking, and with 20V decent power) cars in there....

Also... Japans premium exhaust manufacturer... Fujitsubo, actually makes a performance exhaust for the All-Trac!!! Only problem is when the price was last listed... it was about $935.00 - Now it says contact them for price
So that's where Honda got the idea for those long taillights for the CR-V. I am in the market for a family car since the wife and I found out today she's pregnant.

...and you'll be in that market for awhile.
Congratulations!
