Need a less German BMW?

Why the heck would someone go to all that trouble to put in a cast-iron lump (that they didn't even "crack open") and a three-speed transmission??

You can get it without the anchor, right?

Edit: Duh, you can. You'd also have to finish the front end.

Since the power train is not "finished installed," you actually might want to wrap a couple of bungee cords around it before you tow the car. Or you could lift it out and sell it back to the buddy.

I assumed this was going to be a Z3 or one of the big SUVs :)
