I'm confused, is 200k+ miles not a big deal anymore?

Not that big of a deal for an m30 engine. The body may rot away and electrical gremlins may show up, but if they haven't overheated or the oil supply to the head hasn't come loose - they last - 300-400k is not uncommon for at least e28s with an m30. I'm assuming the same is true for e34s - with the same engine - just more wiring/electronics.

My E34 525i has over 200k but doesn't look it at all, even the interior looks at most 10 years old. The front end feels a bit sloppy but it still drives straight and true. It probbably still has the factory lower arms and links. At 200k miles that perfectly acceptable normal wear.

So far I'm liking my BMW ownership experience.

You can't find a steal like that down here.

I have seen this car up close, I considered buying it when the GLI got flooded. He was originally asking @ $3400 for it, $2000 is closer to what it's worth. I was tempted but passed and took the lImpala for more money.
