I was parked next to one of these in my blown Olds Starfire at the 1981 Car Craft Street Machine Nationals. Blown Chevy 454, driver sat in the back seat, and wheelie bars...which it needed.
The Honda dealer in my town has a perfectly mint one of those sitting right in the middle of the showroom. It's that safety-cone orange they used to come in.

I don't know the whole story behind it, but this car runs here in the Atlanta region SCCA autox events on occasion. I've helped push start it a couple times. Has some kind of bike engine in it (maybe from a 'busa).
IIRC, it was originally built to push the limits of one of the prepared classes (or something like that). The year before it was completed, the rules were changed and it wasn't legal for the class anymore. I think it was sold to a new owner at that point. Not sure on any of this, but that's what I seem to recall.
Either way, the thing is fast.
