Something tells me that it's not an internal transmission or syncro issue as well. I'm betting on motor/trans mount and shifter bushings.

If it's not internal to the transmission, it'll be a dropped shifter.

That said, these are the exact symptoms that our car showed when i bought it, taking the gamble that it was just a dropped shifter.

I had to replace the transmission.

I have a spare G series box, but not space for the car (unless I were to sell the daily and daily one of the BGs for a few months; which I have been tempted to do)

If this were close to me it could be a great BP donor for my wagon. Oh well

are you looking for a complete donor car or just the engine? There's a BP engine for sale locally for less then $400 that may be worth greyhound shipping out your way.

I'm waiting to find a complete car locally so I can get axles and rear disc brake parts etc.

definitely makes sense as that's what I did with the 323 as well.

i couldn't get my bp swap to quit breaking axles but it was a fun little car. great price

plug and play into a BG chassis mazda, sans crimping a single wire (though I recommend megasquirt and the G series gearbox)
