From the ad. said: This car was my daily driver from 2008 till late 2013. Starts and runs very well. It has been parked at my mechanic's shop due to some pending work needed but it's time to pass her along to the next enthusiast. I've had Twinstar BMW in Richmond VA do all the work on this car. Al their lead tech is BMW certified and worked on e28's when they were rolling off the showroom floor new. There are lots of new parts. New paint job, newish tires, style 5's, new exhaust, radiator, plugs, wires. 225K + miles and the engine is still running very strong. 5 speed transmission that shifts smooth with no grinding, synchros in good shape. The bad: rear end needs to be replaced. I'm not mechanically inclined but I can put you in touch with my mechanic if you are serious about this car. He can go through the specifics with you. If you ever wanted the more sporty and rare of the e28 series without going for the M5, this is the car for you. Best case would be to take the rear end off an 528e and have yourself a strong running 535IS. $1800 OBO

Nice looking. How do you kill the rear end in an e28? Those are pretty tough

I had an '88 535is. It was a GREAT highway cruiser / daily driver. That is a good price for no rust. A diff will set you back < $400 for LSD and it's pretty easy to swap out in an hour.
