$1700, get it for $1500 (or less). Sell the Jag Junk and go SBC - SBF, suspension, cage and kick Challenge ass.

Hell for that prices I'd swap the drivetrain and just drive it!

Anyone feel like hauling it south for the Challenge?

Didn't think so. (sigh)

I would LOVE that, and I've already got the drivetrain.

Given the location it is parked in, I would not be surprised if it needed $2012 in sheet metal welded in...

These things rust something fierce and date back to the time when manufacturers were still figuring out unibody construction.

They're cool cars, though.

My dad had a 3.8 S in college/law school that he parked and neglected for decades under his mother-in-law's car port. I don't think I ever saw the whole car, only bits under the cover occasionally. Cajoled Grandma into letting me sit inside it once, and I still remember the smell of leather and wood. He wound up selling it to our elementary school's janitor, who I believe dropped in a 350/350, which sounded like blasphemy to my 9 year-old mind, but sounds like a fine idea these days.
