Loud noise under acceleration. Could that be the timing chain tensioner? I had that problem with mine.

I've seen two other cars first hand where that happened - deer ran into the driver's side door on both. Also, and quite humorously, in both cases the deer ran into the car so hard it literally had the crap knocked out of it. One of the cars was a nice white BMW 5 series. Was pretty hilarious to see it with a giant crap stain down the side. At least this E30 seems to have avoided that.

Guess the 5 series I was thinking of was hit on the passenger's side. Remarkably similar damage though (minus the poo).

Meh.

It happened to me too, strangely enough I was also in a white car, my girlfriend's Mazda3 hatch. The deer ran into the driver's side fender at full speed, I was hard on the brakes, but still going fast enough to spin him around so that the rest of the body hit the L side of the car, seriously denting in the driver's side doors. No damage to the front of the car, all on the side, really. That was about $5k.

Happened to my son, too. It's actually pretty common.

Quite a shock, though, when the rack came crashing through the window.

My cousin had one try to come in through the drivers window of his aerostar. Took out every window in that side.of the van as well as crunching the body up pretty good. Two days before thanksgiving. Guess what was in the smoker along side the bird?

After I read this I took a look at your stable and somehow moved the F from the VFR into the GTO, made GTFO and had a giggle.

I had a deer run into the front corner of my van. It took out the headlight, front fender and a few other pieces. There was a large camel toe looking dent in the driver's door from a hind foot. I fixed all the damage but the door. It was so cool looking that I highlighted it with a sharpie and glued a little fur around it.
