So I need to do some thinning of the herd. Got all my stuff loaded up and brought to MN/SD a couple weeks ago and now that everything's in one general area I have to face up to the fact that I'm never going to even get to 1/2 of the projects I have.
So, for your perusal is a trio of Opel Kadetts. Three different body styles, regular sedan, fastback, and station wagon.
The sedan and the fastback were originally 1.1L cars, which means smaller engine bay, smaller tranny tunnel, lower strength rear-end, and smaller brakes. To their credit though they weigh in @1700 lbs with their cast-iron drivetrain and they have 4:11 rear ends. Fastback is missing spindles and hubs, and has some more rust than the rest. Probably has some furry friends too, were I a betting man. Sedan looks pretty good, just needs fenders.
The wagon was a 1.9 car with an auto, which means the biggest possible tranny tunnel for engine swaps. It also means 3.18 rear end with rear anti-sway bar and front disc brakes and nearly a 50/50 weight bias. As equipped it would have weighed in @1850 lbs. This one was pretty low rust, but the previous owner started the installation of a set of Lenk fender flares so there are some cuts already made and the interior is completely stripped.
None of the cars currently have engines or transmissions, though a running 1.9L and your choice of manual or auto should be available, I'd have to look. Mostly these are presented with the idea of a challenge swap of some sorts. All three have titles in my name, and between them and my pile of spares you should be able to choose your favorite body style and put it together with either the lighter weight 1.1 stuff or the sturdier 1.9L stuff. (Suspensions and such can swap as units between the cars.) It also will come with the set of fender flares, which should go on any of the cars and allow for some serious tire on both ends.
I also have lots of engine swap fodder, ranging from a Geo Metro 1.0 bolted to a Samurai trans on up to a 5.3L truck motor with 5-speed. Those options could be discussed as part of the deal later. Delivery might be an option too, though it would have to be somewhere within a day of Minneapolis. Depending on who you are and how creepy you seem I might be able to loan you my 2-Opel trailer to take a pair of them home as long as it made it safely and quickly back to me. You could either strip what you want off the other one and I'll dispose of it or take it home when you bring the trailer back.
Looking to get $500 for all 3, and with the fender flares being over $200, that's under a c-note each. I think I have pictures of all of them, though I'd have to e-mail them as I don't think they're online anywhere.
Here's one of the fastbacks with the flares installed, for those of you with no imagination:
