DUDE Don't tell me you're crushing your old 7!?!?!? if you just were not across the country!

So how much on shipping for the Shocks, and pedals to 32615? And yeah if I can get it ready in time it's for a challenger.

This one's not mine. It's the junkyard special John bought when he drove mine and got jealous. My car is safe and sound as an ITA racecar now!

I can do $150 shipped for the shocks and pedals. I'll even throw in the springs and keep the fronts fully assembled.

What sort of condition are the front uprights in? Are they rusty/crusty? Are the calipers in good working order? I assume you were running GSL-SE pattern 4x114.3 wheels on the front, and the 4x110 in the rear,or did you change the hubs out to the proper 4x110?

The front uprights for the SE stuff is pretty good. We never ran them. They were purchased along with an SE rear axle in anticipation of swapping this car over to 4x114.3 which never happened. They are off of a wrecked car. Calipers are good, one has a cut brake hose. No rotors and only one dust shield, which is bent.

How hard is it to convert the 4x110 to 4x114.3?

Extremely. That's why the GSL-SE stuff brings so much $$$. Basically if you don't already have an 84-85, you need to buy a set of 84-85 uprights and a rear axle housing (both use larger bearings than the 79-83 stuff). On the front you can just swap the discs over to the SE discs no problem (buy those at any Napautozoneboys). The rear axle you will need the SE specific axle shafts, rotors, and calipers.

Usually since most cars being converted are small bearing anyways, they just buy a complete SE suspension setup.

If I have a full machine shop available, is there anyway to convert a RX-7 rear end to some wheel pattern that is useful?

Yup! Have the axles drilled and studs installed, find a disc that works, and you're done. Or buy an SE rear axle (4x114.3).

Ok cool. I just haven't been able to find an SE axle for cheap in Alabama or Tennessee or Kentucky.

UPDATES!

The driveline is gone as are the parking brake cables.

However, the intake ended up having a broken mounting ear, and is generally in worse shape than thought, so we're dropping the price to $500 for the carb+intake+accessories.

The shocks are also beat to hell. We'll take $35 for the rears (and have springs too). Dunno if we can even get the fronts out.

Beat to hell as in useable? or should I keep looking for daily/autoX/challenger shocks?

The front shocks were bent, so we didn't pull them. The backs look usable, but one is missing the adjuster/clicky thingy on the top. I have a local on his way to look at them, but if he doesn't want them I'd take like $25 for them.

The car is now officially a cube going to China. Here's what we saved:

  • Mikuni 2Bbl Carb, Dry-runner intake (broken mounting ear) - $500
  • 14x6.5 Hayashi Racing Steet II's w/195/60/14 Bavarius tires - $650/4
  • Headlight motors w/armatures - $25/pair
  • Alternator - $5
  • Wiper motor, arms, and wipers - $20
  • HVAC blower motor - $5
  • 5-Speed manual trans w/shifter, bellhousing, crossmember - $50
  • GSL rear end (small bearing) w/discs and LSD - $100
  • Maroon GSL driver's seat, brown seatbelt, and receiver - $20/all
  • Glass rear hatch (no wiper, and no holes) w/good struts - $10
  • Parking brake handle, interior plastics, and switchgear - $10/all
  • Taillights, housings, and center divider - $25/all
  • 84-85 big bearing front uprights from a GSL-SE complete with springs, mounts, shocks, calipers, and mounts. Needs discs (GSL or SE will work) and dust shields - $25/pair
  • 4 NGK Rotary plugs - $5
  • Sunroof rotary nob and wind deflector - $5

Rob,

Located in SW Washington, about 45 minutes north of Portland, OR. The SE axle is gone, the GSL axle is still here but there is a person actively trying to buy it. I won't ship anything that doesn't fit in a flat rate box though.
