About 7 or 8 hypothetical rear suspension evolutions ago I picked these up at a swap meet thinking I could make them work. Plans changed a few times since then.
Rancho model 9166 which doesn't appear to be for any rig in particular. Rancho gives this info
RS9166 14.34" Extended length 9.54" Collapsed length Upper mount= S1 3/8-24 Stud 2 3/8" long and lower mount = BP7 eyering and bushing with a bar pin The bar pin is 3.13" long 2.50 center to center of the 0.35" holes.
These have never been installed. The urethane bushings are still pristine but the bodys of the shocks are a bit scuffed from being moved around my garage for 2 years. No boots on the shafts
GRM price of $45 shipped to the lower 48 sound fair?
You sure about those numbers and specs? Their catalog doesn't list a RS9166. There is an RS999166, but the specs are different than what you describe. The RS999166 is for Chevy 2wd trucks and SUVs.
Can you post up a pic, I might have use for them if I can adapt them
I will get a pic or two up when I get home from work.
The shocks say Rancho 9166 on them. My tape measure verifies compressed, extended, bar and pin measurments.
Under the "Made in USA" label is the number 2C3175 but that turns up nothing. These look to be a bit older than the current RS9000XL offerings. These are labeled simply RS 9000 5 speed.

Not that this adds anything to the thread, but "Rancho 9000" sounds like the name of a post-punk surf band.

It looks like they match a 99166 or 999166:
RS99166 S42 XP5 9.750 13.750c 4.000 NONE P1192
or
RS999166 S42 XP5 9.750 13.750c 4.000 2.18 P1192
Way too short for my Explorer.
Those specs sound just about right for my Opel. Paypal or check?
If opelguy doesn't take'm i will.
