Seller says it needs a frame, but that could be anything from "Lets toss a fish plate here" to "This guy I know in Cali has one and will ship...."

I've spent more for less. it looks pretty solid to have a non-repairable frame. why is this not in your driveway already?

My 2nd car was a 1970. Ford badged it as an 'XL' - that was the official model. It wasn't until I was looking through the owners manual did I discover it was an LTD.

that is BIGGER then it looks... especially if you are use to small nimble cars....

otherwise I agree with cdowd... besides... I'll bet you can get 3 times+ for it if you strip it and sell it to Galaxie/LTD crowd

That's no lie. We'd routinely fit 3 or 4 BMX bikes in the trunk and still be able to close it.

I have a 66 and OldSkewlToy is right. They are down right huge. However, if someone likes this, buy a newer Lincoln Towncar and use the frame and suspension from that. They are amazingly close in specs and that would get you a ton of nice features. If my Galaxie's from ever gets bad, this is the route I am going.
