I have been tasked/cursed with selling off a few quads and dirt bikes since the spring, I have had some luck selling others but this one seems to have me stumped as the last two left in cardboard boxes and sold for more than the running bike. I am not a quad/ dirt bike guy as I have learned to loath the blasted things over the years due to the person who left them here. Could the fine people of GRM please give me their input on on this four wheeler as I have had it for sale going on two months and cannot seem to find a buyer for this blasted thing, am I way off base on the price, should I try another fourm?
BTW: This is the fourth price drop.

Clean the carb, list it when the snow starts melting for $1000, "great kids toy"

FTFY
Wash it, let it dry, Clean it with Tire Wet or Armor All all over. Get rid of those stains and make it very shiny. Let the stuff soak in. don't wipe it off. Take photos the next day without full sun.
Post with snow in the forecast.
Change ad to "2002 Honda TRX90 four wheeler, runs great. Great Christmas present for the kiddos that Mom and Dad can play with when the kids are at school. Auto clutch 4 speed. First $1000 takes it. See the a video of it at (insert YouTube here)"

True. Either way the root of the problem is the sort of people looking for a ~$1000 kids quad want to put gas and maybe oil in it and beat on it. Most people who will casually clean a carburetor will just buy the cheaper one in boxes.
On that note, mentioning that it's a 4 stroke is probably a good idea.
Also straighten out that shift lever.
Thanks for the input guys, the four stroke and no clutch lines will be added in the next revision and waiting till a week or two before Christmas is another way to go at this.
Thanks Paul
Here you would be lucky to get 700 Canadian. They aren't worth much. Replace the pilot jet and it will probably idle. They plug when the quad sits and are hard to clean.
It's dirty, the starter cord is hanging, you say it barely runs. Makes it harder to sell.
It's not listed as a project, or priced as one. People are probably expected to be able to plunk their kid on it and have them go riding around the yard.
Is this the only one left? If you still have some 2 wheelers I might be interested.

If I was looking for one for a my son, I'd only pay $300 for that. But I'm a cheap ass. That's not to say, you can't get your $700 if you cleaned it all up and what not.
It's going to be a hard sell because most people looking for a quad for their kids want electric start and automatic transmission...and the cheap Chinese quads that have auto/electric start have spoiled them. I just bought a 2009 Trx90 for my son...for $350. He will learn how to shift gears.
