Either the Diff or Transfercase bit the dust and the engine now resides in a really quick MR2.... I was just at his house this week lol

But we'll just say that my screen name is what it is for a reason. I'm not ACTUALLY a Mazda guy. I followed that build for years, i've been in the Celica community for nearing a decade.
I feel like i should do everything in my power to save this car, and at this point i have the know-how to do pretty much everything he did to it back then, again.

I'm going to guess rear and/or center. He was running staggered tires, and i saw a few posts where the rear diff wasn't locking anymore.

That'll pend on a couple things, but that's the plan.
Just need to figure out what sort of shape it's in, how horrible it'll be to get it out here, and how much of my current stuff truly swaps over from ST184 to ST185 chassis.
Unfortunately, i'm deep enough in my car that just parting it out or crushing it makes no sense whatsoever. This only makes sense if i can use the parts off of it. I'm doing the research now.

Doesn't make sense.
I'm $8k deep in the Celica. It hasn't moved in 2 years, i'd be hard-pressed to sell it for more than $1000 at the moment. I would rather just use the parts off of it on the AllTrac. What i'm wanting to do is be able to swap most of the parts over, then strip and crush the car.
If i sell MX6, i have to immediately buy something else for me to daily drive.

Lol not gonna happen. I'll never get enough money out of it selling as a whole right now to make it worth it.
Its under 6" of snow at the moment, but all the glass is there,its just a good clean shell, with no rust that I recall of. Martin did cut the rear fender to accommodate those massive stickies. Its been untouched since my brother got it from Martin, so its just like was the day it left. I think I have pics of it goin on the trailer the night we went and got it, if so I'll post em

Sigh, nope. The Miata is not, and never will be a daily driver.
But yes, if i get this, it will be AWD with boost. Especially since that's what it was from factory.

Heh, let's just make one thing clear.
If this happens, the ONLY thing that's going away is the FWD Celica.
The more i learn about interchangeability, the less of a good idea this sounds. I'm still going to call about it, but depending on what's still on it (sounds like not much), it's a better option for someone who already has an AllTrac that could use a fresher body. (Smog7, are you listening?)
Part your Celica out and use the $$$ to buy the parts for this thing. It really can't be THAT hard man, you're slumming together the world's most expensive Escort so I know you have money.
I don't see why you couldn't DD the miata or jeep? Is your commute THAT hairy?
