Mind posting pictures of the compressor and turbine? I've had a Mitsubishi turbo once whose turbine sheared off the shaft and ended up perpendicular to shaft.

And that is one of the reasons I bought that Volvo for how much I paid for it.

I'll have to take some photos tomorrow afternoon. I think they both still spin.

Do you know if that'll fit an 02 WRX engine? If so I'm game to buy it.

The turbo isn't a direct bolt on to the 02 wrx, they are rotated differently and the output is a touch different. Basically the newer legacy turbos, and 08 wrx(non sti) use the same turbo, intercooler and plastic intake manifold, and interchange. STi's and 07 and older wrx and use interchangable turbo, intercooler and metal intake.

I believe you could put the intercooler, turbo and plastic intake on as a unit, but not just one of those components.

My legacy uses the above setup and to use a sti turbo(vf48), we had to rotate it, move oil feeds and weld on a new flange on the exit of the turbo to the intercooler.

VF40, vf46 and vf52 are the legacy style oem turbos

Coil packs are sold.

Also that is cheap for the turbo. Cores go for closer to $100 shipped on the Legacy GT forum because a lot of guys turn them in for hybrid turbos from Bryan Nickell (which has a $200 core charge).

You'll need to log in to post.
