I'll have an 87' 325is coupe for sale in the Erie area in a month or two at a similar price. Not a pretty car but a good beater or base for a track toy.

I am local and saw it on craigslist I have been eying it up, just not sure what I would do with it.
a few years ago I bought one at $600 and sold at $800 after driving it 2 years and putting some work into it.
Although, mine was an eta automatic...
I only paid $800 for mine. Non-running eta, but still, a rust-free 5-speed coupe in Michigan....
As long as there are some that are in rough condition, we will be able to buy them for a grand.
I hope prices go through the roof on these. That way I can sell mine and retire with the money I get out of it 
An '89 should have plastic bumpers.
