Diesel stick shift (4spd manual borg warner t-19) chevy malibu wagon for sale. Here are the main details: Hercules 4 cylinder 3.7L turbo diesel (about 8psi rated at ~100 hp and lots of ft-lbs of torque), easily spins the tires. starts good and sounds like a semi truck. Borg warner T-19 4 speed transmission (recently rebuild, this is a top-loader case with shift rails in top housing) 2 pc driveshaft Manual steering and brakes - good luck to any ladies that would attempt to drive Its a chevy originally from michigan, in wisconsin since 2005. Was everyday driver from 05-07, then became a project with the diesel swap. Runs good, shifts good, kinda stops (manual brakes could use attention). Rides smooth, not too noisy. Has wilwood clutch pedal, clutch master cylinder and adjustable proportioning valve. 15" tires on alloys, american racing. Could use some wiring work still and minor odds and ends hooked up. Performance: mpg is unknown, top speed is 74 mph on governor of engine. could be faster with larger tires. very comfortable to run at 60-65mph, engine is not working at all. Neat project but I will not have time this summer to run it, so it might as well go onto a new owner. serious buyers only, please do not waste my time. cash only, trades for volvo, vw, considered. email with phone number is preferred, also when best to call you back. BTW-for the other "like minded individuals out there" if manual fuel pump were installed and manual fuel shut-off to injection pump this would run with no electricity at all. also there are compressed air starters available for this engine, then no battery is needed for starting. Furthermore a permanent magnet generator could be used for electrical accessories once running.
