Was this, by any chance, built for an ACVW or VW-based dune buggy? It looks light overall if you can figure out the tongue weight.

It is all steel so it is not light. I will see if I can get the tongue weigh and publish it here later today----Yes it was built for an offroad race buggy---- In reply to ShadowSix:

I meant light in a good way! As in, you won't need a 1-ton diesel to drag it around! Probably perfect for pulling an anything ACVW-based!

I used to use a sand rail trailer. Super-easy to load, very light. Carried anything up to about 2400 lbs happily. There's a lot to be said for a trailer this size.
I'm building one that size now. Empty weight @750 lbs on a 3500# axle with brakes. Perfect for small cars.
