NOT MINE

Great maroon '82 Volvo, run great! Rebuilt transmission, new clutch, no rust, 35-40mpg. The only problem is that there is no driver's side window. I've had a hard time finding a mechanic to fix it, and I don't have the time to deal with it anymore so my loss is your gain! Email me for more info.
All those interior pics and virtually nothing of the exterior??
I'd rock that for my 50 mile-a-day commute with WVO. But...I won't because I'm not local enough.
I considered it on my ongoing hunt for a MB 300SD or 300TD, but decided against it for various engine maintenance reasons(timing belts, shimmed mechanical lifters, very overheat sensitive).
I'd consider it. Too far away.
Oooh, Volvo with the 2.4l Audi five-plus-one engine.
That would make a very, very nice home for a proper Audi turbo five engine.
When I was in high school, I had a friend with a ski boat and her father towed it with an identical Volvo diesel wagon. It was the slowest vehicle that I have ever been in. My Legacy GT was faster, and it didn't even have an engine.

I had one. It was fine, if slow. If driven carefully, it could get 40mpg on the highway. It could also seat seven and tow 3300lb - although I don't recommend doing both at the same time.

What years did they offer a diesel 2 series? Just curious...
Why did I just buy a car.
I could use this but too far away again.

Cause Peugeot> diesel Volvo.

If you're asking about the USA, The Volvo 240 Diesel was sold in '80, '82-'84, and a few leftover '84s were re-badged and sold as '85s. In other parts of the world, the Diesel was available from '79-'93.

Certainly. That inline six is an Audi sourced engine, and has the same bellhousing pattern as the gasoline inline five (and V6/V8 for that matter). Look closely enough, and you can see how it's a VW 1.6 with a cylinder stuck on each end. (Audis have different bellhousing, starter mounting, and front-engine dress, because Audi)
10vt would be a PITA because the wastegate would be somewhere in the A/C system, but a 20vt would be juuust fiiiiine......
