I've finally gotten the okay for a bumper swap on my '87 325is.
The plan is to find European bumpers, paint them black like the car (not rattle-can trim paint, base/clear gloss black), and swap them out for the horrible U.S. bumpers.
This means I absolutely don't care about what kind of finish is on them now, or if the chrome is good, some kid has painted them purple, somebody spilled blood all over them, etc. The only things I care about are how straight the bumpers are, and how good the plastic pieces are on them.
I've already followed all of the advice in my other thread about this (http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/where-to-find-euro-bumpers/26549/page1/), but I haven't found any yet. I'm hoping some come out of the woodwork this way.
