Wanted: RX-7 rolling chassis in good to great condition

Hey guys,

As some of you may remember I had a friend drop off his one owner 89 TurboII RX-7 at my house for some simple repairs. Turned out I found the drivers side "frame rail" rotted out really bad. He's decided that he wants to move on from it, and I will be buying it. I don't know how to weld, but I'm not entirely against trying to repair it, but maybe finding a rolling chassis would be simpler for someone like me that can spin a wrench, and isn't afraid of tearing down an entire car as I have done it in the past. I was thinking I could take all of the good parts(everything short of the chassis) form the low miles 89, and put it to use in another chassis. If you know of a good chassis then please let me know. The closer to the Northeast the better please. I think the best bet would be to find another series 5 car, but the chassis is probably not too much different of at all.

There's a race shop in NH that's dissolving. Last time I was there they had 9 rollers - all in good shape. I'll see if I can find the contact info for you. He had a mostly complete GTU selling for $1,000....

There's a guy up the way that has a whole junkyard full of rx7. Offers rollers for a grand or so.
