i duuno, my sister got a 1967 Fairlane off of Craigslist in similar condition for $1000, absolutely nothing wrong with it!

It says "must sell price". I don't know what it's worth but I'll bet you could get it for less.

Most people won't remember the Starchief name which equates to low dollar amounts.

Well, it is a 4 door, and a sedan, not a hardtop, so that counts against it. The picture quality may just be "off" but I'll bet that's it's not painted in an original '64 Pontiac color. In other words, nice car, but.....

The CL in my area has a '67 GTO that is very nicely restored. Current owner (says he's the 4th) only drives to and from car shows. Asking price? $28,000.00.

ya basically it's a model no one wants because it's not the hardtop... friend has the same issue (well that and it's got some rust issues and 7 year old engine probs she can't rember what is) with a '63 monaco... seems that many are worth more parted out and scrapped... :-/...

I had one that was all white, same make/model/year. Man, what a party barge. No problem toting 8 people, and a trunk you could play ping-pong on. I bet he'd take $2000 cash. Sure it is a sedan, but it still looks cool.

I have been looking for a 1966 Pontiac Tempest 326 manual 4 door post to recreate my high school hot rod.

There are lots of decent slant-6 and 318 mopars on ATL CL for $2-$3k. This is why I constantly have to resist the temptation to search "slant 6" and "318." One day.

PS: Paint looks weird & stripey, and I'd be curious as to what the "battery issue" is. Smells too good to be true.

Yeah....until the government got involved, car makers could make their automatic transmissions with the gears in any order they wanted. But this is the first time I've actually seen it with Park at one end and Reverse at the opposite end.

You want to be very careful doing neutral drops.

Could be a fair price for the car, depending on rust, etc...looks nice in pictures, but what is it really like? I just bought my '65 Olds Delta 88 sedan for $1100. It runs and drives great. Cosmetically it's a 10 footer. Looks OK from a distance, but up close it definitely shows obvious flaws. So this price may not be too far off.

Is it just me or does the paint around every single door jamb look a little different than the rest of the car?

Still a cool car though, good way to get your foot in the door to a classic car I suppose.

Yeah, 4 doors don't have near the value of 2 doors. Post cars even less. But if it's as clean as it appears still a bargin. Bet it winds up a parts car for a 2-door resto or on 20's as suggested before.

Haven't you ever been out on the town and had a slight "escort" problem to deal with?

I don't care what anyone says, some 4-door cars are cool. Cars from that era still had class, boring or not, not like today's beige appliances.

This is coming from a previous owner of a '65 Malibu 4-door.

I own an old four door myself and I enjoy the car. In order of popularity the two doors and verts rank highest. Then the wagons and 'camino types, with four doors bringing up the rear. To me the price and the chassis underneath is what matters, and how much rust I won't have to fix.

it has a 389 CID Pontiac V-8 with a factory Tri-Power setup, a four-speed manual floor shifted transmission, and Factory Air Conditioning. This car also has the Pontiac Factory 8-lug wheels, dual exhaust, Roof Rack, and much more.
