Because you haven't driven there to buy it yet? They're way cool, FIL has a pair of em. Weirdest drive ever. 3 on the tree and sittin ON the steering axle... man that was wild.
Drove one high once, hit the brakes and thought I was going out the windshield!
Ahhhhh..... the good old days.
I would imagine that it would feel about like driving those old Toyota minivans, like this one: I drove one of those for years, and it does feel a bit weird to sit on the steering axle, especially when doing donuts.
Because:
1) Its $2k.
B) You're too busy posting about it here.
III) Its not "close" to you.
Actually, its not a bad price price for a running project. I always thought an old truck like that would be a great vehicle for a lawn service. People would remember you for sure.

I know its 750 miles from you. Its only 120 miles from me.

Nobody said you weren't a little "special".
Two weeks ago I drove from Albany, NY to Flint Michigan and back in 25 hours to pick up a car I don't like.
It is cool but a friend of my dad had a van with the 170 in it and it had trouble getting up hills without down shifting. I would rather have the Dodge.
Is there anyone in the neighbothood that can check this out?
I know where there's a supercharged Ford V6 with a 340hp cam and a posi rearend.
Dan
sent the link to my dad saying i thought this looked pretty cool. he responded with this youtube video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOQvPRbrIFs

That's the plan, but I was going for the weather protection of the BMW.
In reply to 914Driver:
302 will fit pretty easily with modifications to the front cross-member/motor mounts (goes under the engine). Stock transmission mount can be used as-is. If the radiator is in good shape it'll cool the V8. Some of these came with the 9" rear so just swap the pumpkin for some highway gears and you're good to go.
Everyone seems to be glossing over the fact that the seller still has a pager. Who the hell still uses a pager???
You'll need to log in to post.
