WTB: 225/45/17 tires

I am looking for a set of 4 225/45/17 tires for autocrossing. I would prefer Hankook RS3, Dunlop Star Spec or Bridgestone RE-11. I am looking for a set with at least half of the tread remaining with even wear. I am near Savannah, GA.

Can you fit some 245/45-17s? I might be able to scare up a set of those.

I am putting them on 7" wide wheels. I don't think that I should go any wider than 225.

I am looking for a set of 4 225/45/17 tires for autocrossing. I am looking for a set of rain tires (Continental DW, Michelin PSS) and a set for dry conditions. I already have a set of BFG Rivals and am not real thrilled with them. I need something that can handle heat ( I live in Savannah, GA) and a heavy car ( Lexus IS300). I am thinking Hankook RS3, Bridgestone RE-11, or Yokohama AD08. I am looking to spend $200-$300 for each set.

If rhw rivals aren't handling the generated heat, stay away from RS3's. The star spec dunlops really worked well on heavier cars.

I have heard the opposite. I heard that star specs don't tolerate heat as well as Rivals and that Hankooks love the heat and need it to grip well.
