I'm going to need one before or on the way down to the Challenge. There's at least one in Nashville, and Atlanta at those PullaParts.
Anyone willing to pull one from say Atlanta and hold it, then Spool and i will stop in on the way down and swap hoods on this black car? It has a huge hole badly cut out of it, remnant of the previous turbo set up run on this car.
I'm trying to see if 88-92 626 hoods are a direct swap. I THINK they are, and there's more of them out there, but i just need to make sure.
I don't care what color it is. Black is preferable, but i'm also not against rattle canning a hood in the hotel parking lot if i have to.
ALSO NEED
Factory air dam thingy for the bottom of the bumper.

I'm 99% positive they're the same as the 626.
Me too.
This car was originally destined for an entire 626 front end swap before i remembered that the 626 didn't have the box flares. Could probably still stand to do so, actually...
Which reminds me, added another item in first post.
I have an extra "air dam thingy." I can send it for the cost of shipping. E-mail me an address to send it to. I think I've got the correct hardware for it also, or most of it, anyhow.
The MX6 and 626 definitely have the same hood.

Do you have one down there?
We usually have at least 3-4 GD chassis mazdas up here in either of my two u-pull-it yards, but turns out that now that i need parts, they're both empty.
There are a ton (like 10) 626s at the LKQs near me, but they are all 93 and up. There is also an MX-6 at one of the the local Coparts.

I may be able to stop by the Pull A Part in Nashville at some point between now and the Challenge. I will let you know.
If there is anything you need bad enough to want it shipped from california, I saw a black non turbo MX6 in the junkyard a few days ago.
Could use a passenger headlight if the reflector isn't rattling around inside the housing.
And A and B-pillar trim plastics if it has manual belts.
And a driver's door hinge if the door isn't drooping.
And there's a seal against the window behind the driver's sail panel. Could use that as well. Mine is ripped.

Remind me later, I might actually have a passenger headlight in the trunk of mine. I know it's a headlight, I just don't remember which side. It's solid.
You could convert to non-fog headlights to make it easier to find a set. It's not like the stock fogs are anything special anyhow.
As soon as i do that, i'll never find another 626 in the yard again, only MX6s.
Especially since i just threw out 2 sets of 626 lights. (Before i knew you were getting your car, i promise.)

If it's a good one, then hang on to it. I'm asking for your car at this point. I have a good one for mine.

I doubt you want to pay $60 for a headlight (their prices on lights are ridiculous), but if I get back there anytime soon I get the other parts if they are any good. It would probably less than $40 total for all the other things.
That'd be great! I'll try to remember to post a picture of the seal thing that i need.

This is the one I saw. There are actually tons of them in some of the other yards, but I'm not sure when I will be there again. I need to go to the yard where this one is to get some subaru parts in the next couple days though.
I went and looked at it, both the hood and headlights are in great shape, the other things you asked about except the pillar trim are either gone or trashed. I'm not sure how much of the trim you need or what color (if you care), but I can keep looking if you want, or grab those if I have a chance while its still there. There were a bunch of 626s there too.
Don't care about trim color, my interior is from about 5 different cars at this point.
The trim piece if it has manual belts should be one big piece. A pillar, B pillar, and back to rear window. I didn't realize that when I made the thread. I bet shipping would be horrid.
I really need to get you a pic of the other piece I really need, sorry about that.
Take a look at the pillar piece and let me know if you think it's even reasonable to ship across the country next time. And I promise I'll get pics in here by this weekend.
No door hinge though?
I think the trim is actually 3 parts. A-pillar from where it meets the dash up to the beginning of the b-pillar, then the b pillar cover is seperate, then a big triangle shaped thing that goes all the way around the side window. I could ship them, but I bet it would be close to $40 in shipping since it would be a huge box. The ones in that car are grey, but there are actually lots of those cars in the yards around here.
As far as the other stuff, headlights were perfect, but would be about $110 for the set, the front airdam thing was gone, the hood was good, but not good enough to be worth shipping, the door hinge was worn out, and if the thing you need to get a pic of is what I think it is, someone already took it from the drivers side. IDK how soon I will be back to that yard, but if you ever see anything you want in the fairfield CA one, I live 5 minutes from there so I can go get it for you.

Those 2 are available too, but those and the other one are about an hour away.
This is the other trim piece i'm looking for. See how the seal is tearing off of it? It's no bueno.

Ah ok, I was actually thinking of something else. So even its not for a while do you want me to get a good one of those and drivers side door hinge if I see them? If you want me to get the other big trim pieces I can try, just think about how big a box they would need and check shipping from 95687 for a box that big, and if it sounds like its worth it I will look for those for you too.
