I'm looking for a 944 Turbo with a blown engine, but in very good condition otherwise. Any leads are appreciated.

He will also be looking for a low mileage L33 5.3L truck engine and a generic Kennedy bell adapter.

1985 Porsche 944. 108K, 5spd. (EDIT: Mods, can you fix the title? It's an '85)

I picked this car up from my father's coworker a few months back. It had been sitting for a few years with a dead battery after the alternator died. The guy bought the car, put about $1500-2000 worth of tune-up parts into it, including new tires, drove it for a bit, then basically let it sit after the battery died.

I replaced the alternator with the upgraded 115A version from the later cars, spent a bunch of time cleaning it up, scrubbed out the carpets, powerwashed the engine bay and undercarriage, changed the oil, and now drive it around town every once in a while. Starts right up and runs great, shifts as it should. I haven't taken it any further than about 3-4 miles at a time, as it's currently unregistered.

It's missing a few things - rear view mirror, one of the latches on the sunroof, the front plastic bumper covers. However, it looks pretty good as is and could be driven home.

Title in hand. It is a rebuilt title - car was rebuilt back in 1990 at 21,002 miles. Otherwise, carfax is clean.

Take her away...$1500. Located in CT.

Thanks, but it really needs to be the turbo model 86 and up. I have a strong turbo engine in mine, but am not happy with the the bodywork. If I can find the right donor my plan is to pull the engine out of mine, add vitesse turbo upgrade kit, then reinstall in the better bodied car.

If I can't find a decent car with a blown engine I guess I'll start back into the body on mine, but I have 3 major projects I need to finish first. Swapping the engine into a better car will get me where I want to be a lot quicker.
