Back in 1981 my buddy needed a standard cab for his 1973 4x4 - he found a rolled cab that was rust free.
Go west young man.........

I have no idea what that means or what your point was.

+1 and just go buy another truck somewhere else. For what a cab would cost, you can probably go up several years with a "new" truck in the same configuration.
Let me check...I have a friend with one of those with no motor or bed. "clean" is probably too much to hope for, but "not completely obliterated" might be a possibility. "Cheap" also quite likely. How far you willing to go?

It depends on the condition and price. Where is it located?
Sedalia, MO. Looks like about a ten hour drive from you. Probably not worth it, I know it needs cab corners at the least.

I might go that far for a rust free cab, but probably not for something that still needs work, but thanks anyway!

Sorry, here is what I meant..........(Strictly talking standard truck cab here)
Back in 1981 - trying to find a rust-free standard cab for a 1973 (same as the 1978) was such a challenge my buddy bought a rolled, rust-free crushed top cab, cut the bottom off and re-welded it to the top of his original cab.
All the truly rust-free stuff is in Denver, New Mexico......West of you and I.
In reply to Datsun310Guy:
Okay, that makes a lot more sense.
I have no problem with buying it long distance. I just need a good cab. Otherewise I may have to use a standard cab and lengthen my bed to take up the difference!
So 1973- 1991 crew cab..... here is some from ATL Craigslist.
