I'm not sure why, but these cars are very rarely seen anymore, even tho they really aren't that old. (Possibly Cash for Clunkers victims?) Good luck finding a car older than a '96....they are out there.

The trans dies at a certain point. It would cost more to fix then the car was worth. Also there are rust issues in parts of the country. The body mounts for the front subframe would rust and the subframe would then no longer be attached to the car. Happened to my mom's '95. Only 50K miles and gagage kept since new but driven in Midwest winters just enough to cause it to rust the DS rear mount. It could be fixed but only if you had the time and space. Removal of the eng/trans would be required to do a proper job.
I should have kept it and done a Lemons car with it. I could have just welded the subframe to the car and been done with it. I sold it for $300 as is.

1992, but I don't know what is different between these and the '90-'91s.

Well, how many 1990 Camrys or Accords do you see?
1990-91 is a 20 year old car.
When that car was new, I thought my '77 Alfetta was really old.
In 1990, which mass produced average sedan was seen regularly that was built in 1970?
I actually see a few '90 Accords, Camrys? No. The oldest Camry I found recently on a CL near me was advertised as a '91 but it was a '92...they changed body styles in '92. I ran across an '89 Civic this afternoon, and it wasn't the first time, there are several in this area (N.E. FL.). Corollas from the early '90s are available, too, but not Escorts or Cavaliers. Apparently, when many older domestic cars die, they get "thrown away" unless there is a chance they can be sold as some kind of classic. The prices asked for things like RWD GM cars, that are 4 door SEDANS is not to be believed.
