I'm looking for a 1989 or 1990 Plymouth Voyager or Dodge Caravan with the 2.5 turbo engine, preferably priced around $1000. I've only found three within a one thousand mile radius of Daytona Beach, FL, and I'm not willing to drive 10 hours to buy a $700 van.
Does anyone have one they'd like to get rid of?

Willing to consider a racer project, or do you want a driver?
I'd definitely consider a racer project. The plan is challenge car/ high school rice cooker.

I've got a rolling shell, no engine, nasty interior. May be able to come up with a title for it. No dents or rot, lots of surface rust.
For $1400, I'll include a complete, though disassembled (motor is out) Spirit R/T. This was a former street racer car, with an after market computer, bored out, various (undefined) improvements. The only thing wrong with it was a badly leaking main seal. It was VERY fast. My butt-o-meter says it was doing 12's.
That would give you a 2.2 (bored to 2.5, I think) T3 with the upgraded Lotus heads, the heavy duty 5 speed, and all the suspension parts, etc. necessary to make the the most awesome van/god on the planet. Sell off the shell of the Spirit and still compete for under $1000.
That was my plan. If you build it, I would require that I get to drive it at some point.
Both cars are in 31721. I'm in Orlando fairly frequently and could tow it that far (one car at a time).
where are you looking?
ive just added turbo minivan to my own car search list but there's nothing on CL. just started looking at turbododge.com but there's only a small number of the vans there.
Wilber, because I have neither the time nor money to buy a van 1000 miles away, here's my comprehensive list of every turbo van for sale in the eastern half of the USA.

I have a non-turbo 5 speed caravan that I could let go cheap if you want to add a snail to it.
But Tom, Port Huron is lovely this time of year!

seen a few over there.
There are usually a few for sale on there at any given time. If not, join up and ask around for one. Someone is guaranteed to come out of the woodwork with one.
And how much should you pay, you ask? This seems to be the correct pricing structure for a Turbo Mopar/Shelby product, confirmed from when I bought my CSX and a friend bought two GLH's, all in varying condition:
$Free-$499: Non-runner, but has most parts intact, and will be easy to put back together, but may need body work
$500-$999: non-runner or barely running car with everything intact, decent condition
$1000-$2500: A nice running, driving example. T I cars fill out the bottom rungs, T II's are the middle, and the rare T III cars will be at the top.
$2501-up: A rare example, like a Spirit R/T, VNT CSX, etc. in nice shape.
Happy hunting!
