I just got a roll bar installed in my Miata and then realized my 2 helmets are SA90 and M95 (has it really been that long?) and thus useless. I figured I'd wait until spring and buy an SA2010 helmet, since I've burned through most of my toy budget for the summer. But, geez, I want to get in one or two test-and-tune days before winter. Otherwise I've got to drive around with this stupid roll bar and answer "no" every time someone asks if I take it to the track.
So, just for now, anyone have an SA2000/05 helmet they'd be willing to let go of super cheap? I know some of you buy new stuff well before it expires. I'd also be down for some recently expired 5/6-pt harnesses. Arm restraints would be wise as well, I suppose?
Yes, I know the risks of old safety gear. Just until spring. I promise.
P.S. My head is largeish. 23.5" around.
