Hey guys,I need a ECM for my Miata.My Miata will start one time and the next time just spines over.I just replaced the coil pack because it tested bad and checked the other sensors on the car.There is no engine light coming on and I just put a new timing belt on too.Like I said it works some times and sometimes not.So I need a ECM for a 1996 Miata if ya have one that you know worked I'm interested.Just PM me. Have you "jumpered" the fuel pump and tried to start it then? Checked the "igniter" pack on the passenger shock tower? Whatcha missing: spark/fuel/air?
Its getting spark,I can hear the fuel pump prime but it just spins.Like I said it just does it sometimes 50/50 lol. Sometimes it sounds like its trying to start on one cyl.
IIRC the fuel pump primes with the key and stays on due to a signal from the AFM. The "jumper" will make it run whenever the key is on. With no jumper, opening the flapper door manually with the key on should make the fuel pump go and you should be able to hear the injectors spray.
