Oh man, and it's brown too!!! These are rapidly raising in value, just like their Pontiac counterparts, making this one a steal.
Just in case you're interested, using my Craigslist translator this "I am selling this for my daughter. She invested in it in partnership with someone who was to complete the work but he is no longer available", means "the car actually belongs to my daughter's meth addicted ex-boyfriend, who couldn't title the car because his license is suspended. He's now got warrants, so he's not coming back. Since he stole my credit cards when he left, I'm selling his car to get even". Assume the engine "rebuild" was completed during a tweek session and bid accordingly. Otherwise, looks like a screaming deal.
Much of my misspent youth was spent inside these cars. They can take a LOT of punishment---- as in off road, getting air type of punishment. Do eeettt!
Not a bad car but not a great car either w/o work, pretty typical for that era tho.
Stock Target 350 engine was meh, two into single cat into duals. Typical build of carb, cam, intake, headers, ignition etc. I doubt any engines were left stock after 5 years. I built a '70 350 4 bolt w/ flat tops, medium chamber heads, CC 268 cam and Torker intake. Came alive at 2500 rpm, me likey. I used the factory slash cut exhaust pipes in my duals, people thought factory 2 >1 >2. Kind of a sleeper that caught a few off guard and got goaded into a few highway races. She had some real legs up top w/ that engine.
Kinda nose heavy tho. Probably more resto parts available now than back in the day. I'd still dig it.
Go for it!
