Got a 1967 deuce and 1/2. 18000 miles. Runs and drives. 1200 obo
OK, so just don't even try the autocross, but come on it runs and drives, someone bring it to the challenge. I'd accept it as a pickup truck class, there's a bed.

I WAS contemplating jist how brutal a drove to florida in a deuce and a half would be. Swmbo didn't see the draw.
Did the government finally get rid of all of these or something? Looking around the prices are higher than I remember.
At the Army and Marine bases I traveled to, old deuces were out behind the motorpool and replaced by MRAPs and these Stewart & Stevenson vehicles.
There's some guys over at Pirate that really do those things up neat. They buy a cheap deuce, bob the frame off to single axle, buy an old trailer at the govt' auction to use for a bed, and buy those cheap military surplus tires off some bigger truck. All-in front to back, they're doing them real cheap. Like well south of 10k dollars for the whole deal and fixed up. And they get around 10 miles per gallon.
This picture was the most interesting one I saw so I grabbed it to illustrate.
My old boss had one. By far the most torturously uncomfortable thing I've ever driven. Left me black and blue all over within a mile or two.
They look awesome. They are truly terrible to drive.
Having driven the blessed things while I was in..... manual steering rack. 30 lb leg press clutch. Air brakes. No apparent shock absorbers.
You really don't want to own one, they suck.

The small, chaotic part of me in the back of my head wants a deuce-and-a-half bobber just like that to run amok in, laughing hysterically like Squidward as I run over everything in Bikini Bottom.
They use one around here to pull jet skis out of the water at the beach. They just back the truck & trailer out past the sand bars until it's in about 3' of water, then ride them on.
