I had a Doo Doo brown Quantum wagon once. My wife hated it she said the baby was embarrased to ride in it so I sold it for a Audi 5000 diesel the same color. That went over like this color Dasher in a punch bowl.
Some one needs to set down the can of nite shades and take a few steps back.
And adjust the ISO on their camera.
I can't believe that I now like these things, 10 years ago I would dry heave at the thought of a 4dr dasher fast back. Now I'm like "that looks sharp!"
No, definitely an ironic name. When I posted that one up a few months ago, someone had a story about how they couldn't outrun some guys running after them. On foot.
Kinda like the Seinfeld episode with the Rascals.

Yeah and a Chevy Celebrity never moved an actual Celebrity.

Curse you.
I'm a Mazda guy. I don't need to be collecting longitudinal VWs.
My parents bought a Dasher wagon new in 77 IIRC. It was a wagon--- not the sedans pictured. It was also the worst POS they ever owned. It burnt oil from day 1---- and it wasn't a diesel!
They traded it in after a year or so---- it had all kinds of issues-- mechanical, electric, poor build quality, etc, etc. Not VW's best effort. My Dad still kept the VW faith though.....as it was traded in on a 78 Scirocco, which was a fantastic car. The Rocco was as good as the Dasher was bad!
