The trans being good is the key issue.
I thought that all remaining running 323-GTXs were already owned by members of this forum?

Depending on the state, there are salvage titles that can be rebuilt, and junk titles that basically make it impossible (or very difficult) to ever put the car back on the road. Would be important to clarify on that one, I think.
