My winter daily/rallycross car is for sale. 187k miles. Still daily driving it right now. 5spd. 1.6 small nose. Crank bolt checked @ timing belt replacement and it's all good in there, have pics. Rust in the usual places for a beater. Working underneath it is not bad...bolts are NOT all seized up.
I bought it about 1.5 years and 5k miles ago. In that time it has
- new timing belt
- water pump
- most of the coolant hoses
- kyb agx adjustable shocks
- NB front sway bar and (cheap) adjustable endlinks
- new used front calipers
- newer stock exhaust
- custom spec Miata style cold air intake and k&n filter. Stock airbox included too.
- new diff fluid
- new trans fluid
- good VLSD installed
- several oil changes of course
I'd drive it anywhere with the caveat that the clutch gets stiff + high (i.e. the line is retaining pressure) in high ambient temps sometimes. Clutch master, slave and rubber line included brand new in box, I just ordered this week and didn't get around to installing yet. Good condition used clutch also included but I doubt it is needed.
Top is mostly functional - zip out window is intact and working, but some splitting over the ds window. Still keeps the rain out though.
Will be sold with practically new all season tires on steel wheels unless you want that set of snow tires and wheels in the first pic instead for $150 more. Interior has wear but it is all present and in fair condition. Need to take pics of that.
Located near Allentown, PA. I'd probably replace the clutch soft line before driving to California or something, since that's most likely the cause of the hot weather clutch funkiness. Might get to that in a week or two if the car is still here.
This is the worst corner - the jacking point is still there and solid, it's not as far gone as previous ones I have owned.
